TOURISM

The number of tourist entries into Cape Verde rose 14 percent in the first quarter of this year against the same period of 2011 when nearly 500,000 people visited the country, the Cape Verdean Tourism Minister said (Macauhub).

Tourism activities in Cape Verde last year grew by 27.4 percent, which was much more than the world (4.4 percent) and African (unchanged) average, according to the annual report of the Bank of Cape Verde (BCV) (Macauhub).
